Livingston's push for the League title was dealt a blow this afternoon after goals from Bell and Storey sealed victory for the home side.
The title permutations were a bit complex, but basically Livi needed to win and Forfar had to lose in order to be crowned champions, but neither result went the Lions' way on the day, meaning the champagne was put back on ice.
A below par Livi side was stunned when Graeme Bell's early header gave Annan the lead after only 2 minutes. Steve Tosh later rattled the crossbar from a free kick but that was as near as Livi came to drawing level.
The game was effectively over when defender
Cammy MacDonald received a second booking to head for an early bath, before Phil Storey drove in the final nail by nodding home Annan's second.
It was a bad day at the office for the Lions, however two more wins from the final 7 games will see them crowned as champions for the first time since 1995.
