Livingston 1 - 0 Montrose

It wasn’t silky soccer and it was by no means pretty, but Livi are now only 1 point away from being crowned League Champions thanks to Andrew Halliday's dramatic 93rd minute winner against bottom side Montrose.

Heavy underfoot conditions caused by torrential rain did little to aid fast flowing football, so chances were few and far between. Livi's Keaghan Jacobs did manage to force a fine save from Gable Endies' stopper Andrew McNeil shortly before the interval, closely followed by Raffaele De Vita’s shot coming back off the post.

And the woodwork saved both sides again in the second half as firstly Montrose’s John Gemmell's then Livi's Bobby Barr were denied by the goalmouth hardware.

However as everyone checked their watches to count down the remaining seconds of stoppage time, Halliday’s header from De Vita’s cross sent the Livi faithful into full blown rapture.

Only Forfar Athletic this Saturday now stand between Livingston and their first League title in 9 years.
