Livingston 2 - 3 Forfar Athletic

Almondvale has been something of a happy hunting ground for the Loons this season, and this afternoon's game proved no exception as Forfar spolied Livi's championship party.

Livi needed only a point from this game to secure the League title, and things got off to the perfect start after only a minute when Raffa De Vita fired the Lions into the lead with a tremendous 20 yard strike high into the net.

The home crowd then got into party mode, but this proved to be premature as Forfar hit Livi with a tripple whammy in the space of 8 minutes.

Ian Harty struck the first blow by firing a shot under Roddy McKenzie from a tight angle. Four minutes later the Loons took the lead through a magnificent Iain Campbell free kick from 30 yards out, before Harty bagged his brace with a deflected effort for Forfar's third.

The home side was left shell shocked but Robbie Winters restored some hope on 33 minutes by pulling a goal back from a De Vita cross.

The second half saw Livi lay siege to Forfar's goal, but to no avail as shot after shot failed to find the net.

It may be another "match point" lost, but Livi's commanding lead at the top of the table still means 2 points from the remaining five games will still see the title come to Almondvale.
