Livi got the pre-season off to a perfect start this afternoon at Ainslie Park with a well deserved 4-1 win over East of Scotland League side Spartans.
Manager Gary Bollan was in an experimantal mood, giving new signing Iain Russell a start in his first match. And the striker rewarded this decision after only 6 minutes, firing home a Keighan Jacobs through ball.
Livi continued to dominate the half, and Russell bagged his brace shortly before the interval to cap a fine debut.
Half time saw the usual flurry of pre-season activity as Kyle Jacobs, Hastings, Conway and McDowall all emerged to start the second half, and Jacobs duly made it 3-0, before Malone slotted home goal number 4 from a fine Conway pass.
Spartans clawed a goal back with 5 minutes to go courtesy of a screamer from Alex King, but it was merely a consolation strike as Livi saw out the remaining minutes comfortably.
