The Lions produced another competent display in their last game before heading across the IrishSea, defeating 3rd Division side Montrose 3-0 at Links Park.
However the Gable Endies put up a spirited resistance and were unlucky not to find themselves on the scoresheet.
Having seen several close things, Bobby Barr put Livi ahead with a beautifully curled shot into the top corner from 20 yards midway through the first half. This was followed 10 minutes later by a second goal which came about from some calamatous Montrose defending. Robbie Winters earned the players' praise for the final effort, though there was a strong hint of an own goal about it.
The second half began in similar fashion to Saturday, with personnel being switched as manager Gary Bolan continues to experiment.
And he'd have been encouraged by the slick passing and interchanges between Barr, McNulty and Winters as wave after wave of livi attacks hit the home defence. Sadly though none hit the back of the net, till Marc McNulty's last kick of the game made it 3-0 on the night.
However there are many encouraging signs which bode well for the season ahead.
