Strikes from Robbie Winters and Keaghan Jacobs either side of half time were enough to secure a fine 2-0 win over Forfar and send Livi two points clear at the top of the table.
Livi made two changes from the side that battled to a 2-1 win over Airdrie last week, with central defensive pairing Mick O’Byrne and Paul Watson coming back in to the team at the expense of Kyle Jacobs and Neil Hastings.
A bright start from Livi saw Talbot and Fox both have decent opportunities to open the scoring but neither could hit the target. However, after 24 minutes, a corner from Sinclair caused panic in the box and after the ball was poked towards goal, Winters was on hand to head home and give Livi a deserved lead.
With Forfar struggling to create many clear chances against a solid Livi back-line, it was only a matter of time before the lead was increased and with 68 minutes on the clock, Keaghan Jacobs duly obliged. A cross from Bobby Barr was headed out of the danger area by the Forfar defence but Jacobs was on-hand to control the ball and rifle a shot into the bottom corner to seal the three points for the Lions.
Iain Russell can consider himself unlucky not to have bagged a goal, missing three good chances as the game drew to a close.
A thoroughly well deserved win for Livi, which sees the club sitting top of the pile heading into the international break.
