Jonathan Brown has become Gary Bollan's first new signing of the summer after agreeing a one-year deal with the club this afternoon.
The 21 year old has made the permanent move to the Braidwood Motor Company Stadium after negotiating his release from Hearts, where he developed through their youth ranks.
Jonny is no stranger to Livingston having spent the 2009-10 season with the club, making nineteen first-team appearances as the Third Division championship was secured.
Born in South Africa but capped at under 19 level for Scotland, he made most of those appearances in a right-back role, but is capable of operating in a variety of positions.
"We're pleased to get Jonny because he's a quality player," said Gary Bollan this evening.
"He had a hard time of it with niggly injuries when he was at the club before, but he was on loan [with Stirling Albion] in the First Division last season and showed that he is capable of playing at that level.
"He's can play at right or left back too, and that versatility is a big thing for us given the size of squad we've got."
Jonny is set to make his second debut for the club in tomorrow afternoon's friendly against Inverness.
But there will be no Bobby Barr against the Highland side after he tweaked a hamstring in Tuesday's win over Hibernian.
"It's nothing major with Bobby but you can't afford to take any chances at this stage of the season and we'll rest him tomorrow," added Bollan.
