Our Under 19 side completed a fantastic day for the club's youth development system with a decisive 6-1 win over Airdrie United to progress to the last eight of the SFA Youth Cup.
In a match played on Murieston United's excellent 3G artificial pitch at Bankton Mains, Brian Welsh's side survived a couple of early scares before going on to dismantle the Diamonds in fine style.
Dean Cummings opened the scoring with the first of his three goals in the fourteenth minute and from there we didn't look back.
Fraser Galloway got the second goal with a long range shot which took a deflection to deceive the Airdrie keeper.
And Cummings got on the scoresheet again in the 33rd minute, before Airdrie got a goal back through Scott Sally to give themselves hope before half time.
A cross-cum-shot from left back Connor MacDonald got a rapid sequence of scoring underway in the second half with Cummings completing his hat-trick with a header and Frazer Galloway helping himself to a second goal in quick succession.
We controlled the game in the closing stages, enjoying long spells of possession, although Airdrie had loud and justified appeals for a penalty turned down in the dying moments.
Michael Travis, Connor MacDonald, Dean Cummings and Dylan Easton were our outstanding players in a very good overall team performance.
Livingston: Murphy, Naples (M Welsh), MacDonald, Aitken, Travis, Beaumont (O'Rourke), Galloway (Scott), Cummings, A Russell, Easton, Brady
