Livingston FC are delighted to announce a new addition to the playing squad today - former Hearts midfielder Jordan Morton.
Jordan signed a one-year contract at the Braidwood Motor Company Stadium earlier this afternoon, and will join up with the remainder of the squad when pre-season training gets underway later in the month.
A left sided attacking player, Jordan (20) started out in Clyde's pro-youth ranks before joining Hearts three years ago.
Although he did not make the breakthrough into Hearts' first team, Jordan spent the first half of last season on loan with Cowdenbeath where he impressed, scoring six times in twenty one appearances.
Cowden had hoped to retain his services for their promotion push, but he was recalled to Tynecastle, where he made his only first team appearance for Hearts as a substitute against Auchinleck Talbot in the Scottish Cup.
Manager John Hughes is delighted to have secured Jordan's services with the forthcoming campaign in mind.
He said: "I'm very pleased to get Jordan on board because we're short of left sided players and he'll give a greater balance to the squad.
"He's a player with significant natural ability, who can play with the ball at his feet, and he has a great eye for goal.
"I think he'll fit in well and I'm looking forward to working with him when we start preparing for the season in a few weeks' time.”
