Since the latest update on our summer renewal programme, our pitch has spent much of the last week or so covered in plastic sheeting, as our latest pictures indicate.

After the work to mix the existing soil with tons of sand was completed, the entire area was sown with specialised seed and covered over for the germination process.

Remarkably, we are already starting to see some growth under the covers, with shoots of green starting to appear.

There's a long way to go yet until the pitch is ready for the rigours of a new season, but everything is going to plan so far.

The next step will to remove the covers and allow the typical Scottish summer of sun and rain to accelerate growth!
