Livingston FC are delighted to announce two new additions to our playing squad for the new season after David Luongo and Anthony Andreu signed one-year contracts today.
The French free agents have both agreed one year deals after leaving Swiss Challenge League side Stade Nyonnais at the end of last season.
David will add to our attacking options, while Anthony is best known as a central midfielder.
Both players have spent the last week in Scotland, although a slight ankle knock initially prevented David from training fully with the rest of the squad.
The trial stint allowed our management team of John Collins and John Hughes the opportunity to see them play at close quarters and assess their suitability for next season's Irn Bru First Division campaign.
After the formalities were tied up at the Stadium this afternoon, Hughes expressed his delight at adding another two new faces to his squad.
"I’m absolutely delighted with the signing of these two lads today," he said.
"They were brought to our attention through connections that John Collins had in France, so we invited them over to have a look and see if they could add to what we have here already, which is shaping up to be quite special.
"The boys have shown enormous desire and willingness to work and develop, and both have tremendous attitude. When you add that to their unquestionable ability then it was a no brainer to get them signed up."
Supporters are likely to get their first glimpse of the pair - and fellow new signing Jordan Morton - next Wednesday afternoon in our first pre-season friendly against CS Concordia at Grangemouth Stadium.
