Livingston 0 - 2 Airdrie Utd

(HT 0 - 0)
Jn.Boyle (48)
Bain (70)

It was a rude awakening for the Lions this afternoon as Airdrie took all three points in Livi's first home encounter of the season.

Second-half goals from John Boyle and Jamie Bain secured the three points.

Jack Boyle tested the reflexes of Livingston goalkeeper Andrew McNeil two minutes after half time, but after the resulting corner was cleared, Nathan Blockley returned the ball into the penalty area and John Boyle pounced to fire past the keeper from six yards.

McNeil made another good save after 68 minutes, tipping Paul Di Giacomo's effort from the edge of the area away for a corner.

But Bain found a way past the keeper two minutes later, collecting Di Giacomo's knock down and coolly firing into the bottom right of McNeil's goal.
