Livingston 2 - 2 Greenock Morton
(HT 1 - 0)
I.Russell (8 & 79 pen)
Campbell (50 & 55)

Livingston equalised with ten minutes left to grab a deserved draw with Morton in a pulsating encounter at the Braidwood Motor Company Stadium.

The Lions got off to the best possible start when a move down the left involving Callum Booth and Marc McNulty teed up the latter, who saw his shot blocked before setting up Iain Russell to finish from four yards.

The visitors came back at the Lions and Craig Reid should have done better from 10 yards but saw his low shot cleared off the line.

Tony Andreu then almost rounded off another fine move as his volley zipped over the bar from the edge of the box, while Archie Campbell’ shot sailed just wide of Andy McNeil’s left hand post.

Campbell wasn’t to de denied for long, however, and he was teed up by Michael Tidser to level the scores after 50 minutes.

Six minutes later he put Morton in front when he burst free down the right hand side and finished beyond McNeil to the delight of the visiting support.

The Lions weren’t for lying down, though, and on 79 minutes Marc McNulty was fouled by Tidser in the box and Russell converted the kick to grab his second of the game.

Peter Weatherson forced McNeil into a fine save with a blistering strike from the edge of the box, then subs Danny Mullen and Dylan Easton threatened to get a winner for the Lions, but there were no further goals and it ended all square.
