Partick Thistle 2 - 0 Livingston
(HT 0 - 0)
Sinclair (54)
Bannigan (63)

Livingston’s unbeaten run came to an end at the home of the league leaders, as Partick Thistle maintained their impressive 100 percent home record in the division this season.

Livi pinned Thistle in early on in the game, with Liam Fox and Stefan Scougall firing off target and Anthony Andreu sending in a dipping half volley that was shoved wide by Thistle keeper Greame Smith.

The Jags began to impose themselves on the game as the half wore on and Chris Erskine whipped an effort wide after evading three Livi defenders.

Stuart Bannigan was next to threaten, also sending an effort past the post after nicking possession 25 yards out.

After the break Jackie McNamara’s side came out on top, and only a fine save from Andy McNeil denied Kris Doolan after Erskine had teed him up in the box.

Thistle took the lead when a Ross Forbes free kick found Aaron Sinclair, and his deft header from six yards nestled into the bottom corner on 54 minutes.

It was two ten minutes later as Bannigan picked the ball up on the edge of the box and curled a perfectly weighted shot past Andy McNeil.

Livi looked to regain their composure, and  Scougall was denied by a great block after bursting though the back line.

Criag Barr then went on a mazy run into the box, but he was also blocked off, before Marc McNulty spun clear of Aaron Muirhead’s challenge in stoppage time, but his effort went high and wide of the post.
