Falkirk
2 - 0
Livingston
(HT 1 - 0)
Taylor (39, 63)

Two goals from in form striker Lyle Taylor consigned Livingston to defeat at the Falkirk Stadium.

On a tough surface the Lions never got going, and the home side nearly had the lead in barely 20 seconds when David Weatherston cut back for Blair Alston, but he scooped his shot over the bar.

Then Taylor cut in from the left and drilled in a low shot that Andy McNeil did well to hold, before Alston played a neat through ball for to Weatherston only for the Livi stopper to knock it wide.

Falkirk took a deserved lead on 39 minutes when Johnny Flynn flicked a cross on at the near post, and Lyle Taylor nodded it over the line from a couple of yards.

And on 64 minutes Falkirk got their second. A Thomas Grant free kick was clipped in again to Taylor, who made no mistake from five yards.

Tony Andreu was presented with the best opportunity on an off night for the Lions with ten minutes to go, but he blazed over after Kevin McCann's cut back found him 12 yards out.

McCann's volley was the next effort from Livi, but McGovern held comfortably.
