Livingston suffered a heavy defeat at Firhill Stadium against title-chasing Partick Thistle.

Things started badly for Livi when Paul Watson was judged to have handled the ball inside the Lions’ box and Aaron Muirhead fired home from the resultant penalty.

Steven Craig doubled Thistle’s lead when he diverted a Sean Welsh cross past Andy McNeil, before James Craigen made it 3-0 with a strike from the edge of the Livi box.

And Steven Lawless added another strike to the tally for the home side as the Lions went into the break 4-0 down.

Watson made amends for his earlier infringement by netting an early second half goal for Livingston.

But after that it was back to being the Partick Thistle show, with Chris Erskine and Kris Doolan completing the rout.
