Our squad has been bolstered by the signing of goalkeeper Kevin Walker, who joins the club from Stirling University.

Kevin (22) has agreed a one year contract and will challenge Darren Jamieson for the No 1 jersey in the season ahead.

A full timer within Falkirk's young system earlier in his career, Kevin opted to concentrate on his studies for a spell, becoming a regular in Stirling's successful first team at the same time.

He has been involved in the Scottish Universities select team and was recently called up for the British Universities squad.

"Kevin has been training with us and we've been impressed with what we've seen," said assistant boss Mark Burchill.

"He's a good all round goalkeeper, who we think is capable of pushing DJ [Darren Jamieson] hard for a place in the first team.

"His distribution is particularly good, something that is important to the way we want to play."
