5 - 1
Cowdenbeath
Fordyce (42, 60 & 87)
Barrowman (72)
Burchill (82)

HT 1-1
Hemmings (17)

Callum Fordyce put Cowdenbeath to the sword with a hat-trick of headers to move Livi off bottom spot in the Championship.

But while the Lions ran out comfortable winners, it was Cowdenbeath who scored first. Kane Hemmings smashed the ball past Livi goalie Darren Jamieson.

But the Lions were level by the break with Fordyce heading in his first, from a Martin Scott corner.

With nothing to choose between the sides at the interval, there was no warning of the hammering that was about to come Cowden’s way.

The Livi defender headed the Lions ahead on the hour mark, connecting with a Stefan Scougall corner.

And the points were made safe when Andy Barrowman fired home Livi’s third, as Cowdenbeath capitulated.

But the scoring was far from over.

Sub Mark Burchill bagged his first ever goal for Livi to make it 4-1, before Fordyce grabbed his treble by heading home from a Scott free-kick.
