No doubt over Airdrie United fixture

TOMORROW'S Irn-Bru Scottish First Division fixture with Airdrie United at Almondvale Stadium will not require a pitch inspection, despite forecast overnight sub-zero temperatures.

The match will definitely go ahead after the stadium's undersoil heating was switched on two evenings ago - on Wednesday - to ensure that a repeat of the double postponement of the Dundee fixture in December does not happen again.

The club have paid a considerable amount of money to recommission the undersoil heating system, which has been out of action for four years.

Liam Fox and Raffaele de Vita are definitely out for the visit of Airdrie United, but Murray Davidson returns to the team after missing the Dunfermline match due to illness. Calum Elliot plays his last match as part of his agreed loan deal from Hearts which expires on 5 January, whilst it is unknown whether Rocco Quinn will be available as discussions with Celtic over his possible transfer continue.

Pre-match information for the match will follow.

Tomorrow's match mascot is Chloe Fraser. Chloe, pictured below, is a big fan of Leigh Griffiths and will be cheering him on to score tomorrow afternoon.
