Our Under 19s made it an incredible twelve wins in a row this afternoon when they beat Clyde 5-2 at Broadwood.
But despite winning and consolidating their position at the top of the table, coach Brian Welsh felt the team's performance fell below the high standards set this season.
He said: "We were a bit sluggish today but the players deserve credit for coming away with the three points.
"Clyde made it difficult for us and we weren't quite at our best, although I thought we still deserved to win the game. We haven't conceded many goals this season so to lose two was a wee bit disappointing."
Without the influential Stefan Scougall and Ross Docherty, the young Lions made hard work of the first half, going a goal down early on.
A quickfire Andy Russell double turned the tables of the Bully Wee, but the Cumbernauld side managed to get back level.
Paul Ewing fired us ahead again before half time before Michael Travis and Lewis Turner sealed the win after the break.
The Under 19s next game is on Wednesday night when they entertain Stranraer on the Fieldturf in an 8pm kick off.
