Pars and Southend added to Friendly Schedule

Livingston have added a further two friendlies to their pre-season schedule with Dunfermline Athletic and Southend United due to visit the Braidwood Motor Company Stadium.

The two matches add to an already exciting pair of friendlies against Hibernian and Inverness Caley Thistle at the Stadium.

SPL new boys Dunfermline will take the short trip over the Forth to kick off the build up to the new season on Saturday, July 2 in a 3pm kick off.

Managed by Paul Sturrock and boasting former Lions Graham Coughlan and Craig Easton, League Two side Southend drop in on Tuesday July 19 for a 7.45pm start.

"We're delighted to have attracted such good quality opposition to Livingston for the forthcoming pre-season," said chief executive Ged Nixon today.

"From a footballing perspective the games arranged so far will provide a test for our players as we built up to our First Division return, while I am sure our fans will enjoy seeing three SPL teams and a strong English side in action."

Nixon confirmed that discussions are ongoing to arrange at least one more friendly to provide match practice before the season gets underway on July 23 with the first round of the Alba Challenge Cup.

Admission prices for all four of the home friendlies announced to date will be confirmed in due course.
