Livingston supporters have raised £916 for poppyscotland by bidding on commemorative Remembrance shirts, which were worn in today's First Division match against Hamilton Accies.
The limited edition, individually numbered shirts were specially embroidered with a poppy motif, and are completely unique.
Each shirt was put up for sale to the highest bidder with the profit being donated to poppyscotland. Bidding was fierce throughout the week, and by the end of the auction at 11am today, more than eighty individual bids had been received.
"We've been delighted but not surprised by the good response to the auction and the generosity shown by our fellow supporters," said David Stoker, the Livi for Life Supporters Trust chairman.
"One of the key aims of the Livi for Life Supporters Trust is to strengthen the bond between our football club and the local community, so we're pleased to have helped generate a significant donation to poppyscotland, which they can put to good use supporting ex-Service personnel and their families in Scotland.
"Our thanks go to Livingston FC and club kit suppliers Football Nation for their assistance, not to mention the West Lothian Courier for their help in publicising the auction."
The eleven winning bidders have been contacted and have until Monday, November 21 to pay for their shirts.
The money raised will be presented to poppyscotland shortly afterwards.
