After the disappointment of crashing out of the IFA British Cup last weekend, the Livi supporters' side GS boys will be looking to bounce back quickly as they play for some very special silverware tomorrow morning.
Taking place at Parkgate Sports Centre in Rosyth, GS will travel to take on Dunfermline Supporters side 'Athletico Dunfermline' for the Mary Leishman Memorial Trophy.
The trophy, put forward by ex-Livingston manager Jim Leishman, will be played in honour of his late wife Mary, with both teams raising money and awareness for the Mary Leishman Foundation.
GS captain Dave Black spoke of his delight at being invited to play in the match.
“It's a real honour for the team to be invited by both Jim Leishman and Athletico Dunfermline to play in this match. The last time we played each other on league duty, we drew 4-4 and because of the excitement that game provided, the Pars guys thought we'd be a good side to compete with them for this. Obviously, given his previous ties with Livingston, Jim was more than happy to see two representatives from clubs he holds dearly play for a trophy in his wife’s memory.”
The match is scheduled for a 10am KO at Parkgate Sports Centre. Updates will be available via the FC Livingston GS Facebook and Twitter pages.
