After a testing programme of friendlies, the season kicks off for real tomorrow afternoon at Shielfield Park when we take on Berwick Rangers in the first round of this season's Ramsdens Cup.
Our management team of Richie Burke and Mark Burchill have bolstered their squad over the last twenty four hours with the signing of midfielders Martin Scott and Kyle Wilkie.
Both are in contention to feature against the Wee Rangers for what looks set to be a Livi side unrecognisable from the one that finished last season in defeat against Raith Rovers.
Only two players from the starting eleven that day are still at the club - Jason Talbot and Burton O'Brien - and Players' Player of the Year O'Brien will miss out tomorrow due to a toe injury.
He is one of a number of players sidelined for the match. Stefan Scougall will be out for at least the next couple of weeks, while new signings Danny Denholm and Curtis Jones are also missing due to injuries picked up in pre-season.
Long term absentee Keaghan Jacobs was given the go ahead to return to full training earlier this week but he too will require a few weeks more before he is ready to return from a serious knee ligament injury.
Our only other question mark is around assistant manager Mark Burchill for whom international clearance is still required following his transfer from Thailand.
Tomorrow's visit to Berwick is our first in competitive action since we won a Ramsdens Cup quarter final there two seasons ago.
We did lose a pre-season friendly over the border last summer and after going out to Annan Athletic at the same stage of the competition last year, we'll need to hit the ground running tomorrow to avoid a similar fate and progress to the next round.
Admission prices for the match, which kicks off at 3pm, are £12 adults and £6 concessions.
