Summer signing Curtis Jones left the club by mutual consent today.

The Manchester born defender joined us from Bristol City in the summer, but an agreement has been reached to facilitate the early termination of his one year contract.

"Curtis has left us for personal reasons and although we are disappointed to be losing a member of the squad at this stage, allowing him to leave is the right thing to do," said assistant manager Mark Burchill last night.

"'Curt' is a good lad who worked hard in his time with us and he moves on with our best wishes for the future."

Troubled with injury during pre-season, the 20-year old had yet to make a competitive appearance for the club, though he did appear in the pre-season series of friendlies against Romanian opposition.
