Innes fit but Livi without four

LIVINGSTON manager Paul Hegarty welcomes back club captain Chris Innes for tomorrow afternoon's trip to take on Partick Thistle in the Irn-Bru First Division - but has to contend with a four-strong injury list.

Murray Davidson (groin), Dave Mackay (calf), Raffaele De Vita (hamstring) and Jason Talbot (knee) all miss out tomorrow afternoon, as Livi look to arrest a run of two consecutive defeats.

Livi's promotion hopes are over for another season, but Hegarty insists that the final three games won't see his side simply playing the season out.

"We will be going into every game with our strongest possible squad. There is no doubt in my mind." says Hegarty, "Some people may say we should be looking to give some more youngsters a chance but there are already a good number who I have given a chance to and they have taken it.

"They've done very well for themselves and it's a boost for us to have them featuring. They won't find themselves left out, this is a chance for them to flourish.

"Our final three games are important as we want to finish as high as we can. A higher placing at the end of the season - and a good run of form towards the end - give you a morale boost going into the new season."

Youngsters feature heavily in Hegarty's squad for tomorrow - as they have done since he took control at Almondvale Stadium in December - with youth academy graduates Leigh Griffiths, Keaghan Jacobs, Cameron MacDonald, Chris Malone, Craig McDowall, Andy Halliday, Mark Torrance, David Sinclair and Joe McKee all in the matchday squad.

While the Lions are playing for pride and the highest finish possible, Partick Thistle have a great chance of stealing away the First Division title from St Johnstone, if they can pick up maximum points from their remaining fixtures and other results go their way.

"It's a big game for both sides. Partick can see some light at the end of the tunnel with regards to winning the league, so they will be giving their all to get the three points.

"But we want to get back to winning ways. We played some good stuff at times against Dundee and to come away with nothing was disappointing. So we want to make amends this weekend by picking up at least a point, if not all three."
