Since their first ever international match in 1870 Scotland has had no greater rival than England . They have the oldest national teams in the world and are historically renowned for the competitiveness and rivalry between both players and fans. Rarely defeated by the Scots, England were left red faced the last time they met at Euro 2000, where Don Hutchinson headed home Scotland 's winning goal at Wembley.

Scottish legend Gary McAllister, who represented his country for nine years, winning 57 caps commented, "It will be great to get back together with the lads and play for the Scotland Legends. We never want to be beaten, but certainly not by the English in our own country. We hope the 'Tartan Army' will turn out at Almondvale to support us in true Scottish style! "

With players like Mc Allister, Boyd, Durie and Gallagher playing on the Scottish legends side and Parker, Walker , Waddle and Walters set to play for the England legends, this is a match not to be missed.

England legend Paul Parker commented, "The legends matches are always great to watch for the fans, but they never lose their competitiveness, especially against Scotland . I have heard a few of the Scottish players that will be coming and to be honest they should give us a good match, but in saying that we never lose to the Scottish and we're not about to start now!"

Tickets for this match can also be purchased directly from Ticketmaster.co.uk and all usual outlets.
