Livingston staff back Chairman

THE NON-PLAYING full-time staff of Livingston Football Club have issued a statement this afternoon publicly backing club Chairman Angelo Massone.

In their statement - signed and agreed upon by all full-time staff behind the scenes - they also talk of their upset at the negativity perpetrated in the national and local press over recent months.

Their address to the club's supporters reads as follows:

"In relation to the recent negativity surrounding Livingston Football Club, the non-playing staff would like to assure everyone concerned that we are all working hard as a team, to make sure the smooth and professional manner in which the club has been run over the last 14 years continues.

"We are all aware of reports in the national press which we are all upset to read. These reports not only upset staff, but also make us stronger and all the more determined to guarantee that club matters are dealt with in the correct manner.

"We are all fully behind the Chairman, Angelo Massone, who has been supporting the club financially, purely through his own investment, to ensure that our wages are always paid.

"We will continue to do our best for the club in the future, as we have done in the past, and even more so for the current board, who need all our collaboration, enthusiasm and hard work.

"Only in this way can we see out this difficult period and move the club forward together to where it belongs."
