Bill Hunter – a minute’s applause
On Saturday the club was made aware of the passing of former Livingston Chairman, Bill Hunter on Wednesday the 1st of March.
Bill was the man who brought professional football to West Lothian in 1995, and because of his dream, we as supporters, have been able to experience the highs of supporting this great club.
At the time, it was considered a controversial move from Edinburgh to Livingston, however 28 years later we have seen European football, a Scottish League Cup, a Scottish Challenge Cup, consistent years of Premiership football and countless memorable lower league title wins. His vision was justified and the dream of Livingston making their mark on Scottish football came true. Thank you for everything Bill, you will never be forgotten.
We will be holding a minute’s applause ahead of tonight’s game that will start and end on the referee’s whistle for the late great, Bill Hunter.
