Bucket Collection – Central Scotland Autograss
We’re delighted to welcome Central Scotland Autograss Club along to the Tony Mac this weekend as they showcase some of their cars whilst carrying out a bucket collection too.
Here’s some more info on them –
Interested in a cheap form of motorsport with a family friendly atmosphere well Central Scotland Autograss could be the place.
Autograss is a non-contact motor sport taking place on a quarter mile oval at Avonbridge usually between the months of April to October. There are 11 NASA Classes, differing by type of set up and engine sizes, from near standard 1000cc Minis through to specifically designed space framed single seaters with monster V8 or twin motorbike power!
Up to eight cars start on a straight-line grid and race over 4 laps. All Classes normally race through qualifying heats and finals followed by time and weather permitting, open races where all Classes have the opportunity to race each other.
The family nature is an important factor within club as all members of the same family are seen to be sharing on car and racing at one meeting. Although having said this, Juniors (10 – 16 years) are restricted to two less powerful Classes for obvious reasons.
If you are interested and want to get more information why not come and have a chat with us before the game on Saturday as we will be outside the stadium with a few of our cars or alternatively we have a race meeting on Sunday 21st May where you can come and see the cars racing and have a chat with some of our drivers.
