Community Support – Meal available
Livingston FC has an opportunity to provide a local charity or organisation with 40 meals per day, starting from this coming Monday (23rd March), absolutely free of charge.
Our players, coaching team and non-playing staff make a monthly contribution to help partially cover costs for breakfast and lunch at the stadium on training days. Despite the current down time, all three of those groups have offered to continue making this contribution, however, with the food being made available for those most in need locally at this time.
Maureen, our terrific club chef, has offered to continue in the kitchen over this period, and with the support of the skeleton staff still operating from the stadium, meals will be cooked daily, Monday to Friday, and will be available for collection from reception at 3pm each day.
It must be stressed that we’re looking to give all 40 meals away in one-go each day to avoid numerous people entering the stadium, and those who are coming to collect the meals will be asked to carry out the same hygiene processes when entering as our staff.
If you work for a charity or organisation who could benefit from this (or know of someone else who does), get in touch as these will be allocated on a first-come-first served basis.
