Daniel Barden swaps the Canaries for the Lions
Livingston FC is pleased to announce the signing of Daniel Barden on a season-long-loan from English Premier League side Norwich City.
The 20-year-old Welsh goalkeeper joins the Lions after making his senior debut for the Canaries against Luton Town in the EFL Cup last season before then making his first Championship appearance as a half-time substitute in a home draw against QPR.
Daniel would go on to make two further appearances for Norwich last season – starting in a 2-0 FA Cup win over Coventry (a game where he collected the Man of the Match award after an outstanding display to keep a clean sheet) and then again in a 2-1 league win away to Cardiff.
Prior to last season, Daniel spent the 2019-20 season on loan at Bury Town, having joined Norwich from Arsenal in 2018. He signed a new contract with the English top flight new boys in March which will see him remain in Norfolk until 2024.
Daniel has represented Wales at youth level, having most recently featured for the U21 side in a UEFA European U21 European Qualifying match where he kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 home draw with Moldova.
The goalkeeper has already been training with the Lions and will go into the squad for our upcoming friendlies with East Stirlingshire and Arbroath over the coming days.
Welcome to Livingston, Daniel!
