Hibs match preview

This weekend, we are back after a week off, and we are back on the road to face Hibernian at Easter Road. Both teams are coming into this game from draws. We are coming off a 1-1 draw, and the hosts are coming off a 3-3 draw. We look to overcome those 3 draws in a row and hopefully turn them into 3 points this weekend.
We are coming off a 1-1 draw against St Mirren. The game started pretty even for both sides; however, just before half-time, the visitors scored in the 44th minute through Nlundulu. During the second half, we created pressure hoping to get an equaliser and stopping the visitors from extending their lead. That paid for us as we scored in the 76th minute thanks to Kabongolo. However, despite the changes in the end both teams shared the spoils.
Hibernian is coming off a 3-3 draw against Dundee. The visitors took the lead early in the 11th minute through Elding, Dundee equalised shortly after in the 15th through Murray. Then Dundee took the lead through Graham in the 72nd. It was then Hibs turn to equalise just 10 minutes later through Suto. McGrath regained the lead in the 89th minute and looked like all 3 points would be coming back to Edinburgh, however, in the 95th minute, Dundee equalised for the second time in the game through Congreve. Our hosts have won 3 in their last 5 games, they have scored 10 in their last 5 matches, and have conceded 7. The hosts look certain to finish in the top 6 before the split, as they battle for a potential place in Europe and want to grab all 3 points at home.
The key players for this match will be Brooklyn Kabongolo who won last month’s Player of the Month, with his stellar performances at the back and his attacking quality, he adds something different which will be important going forward so we can pick up more points. Another key player for this match will be Jerome Prior, who has been putting in strong performances recently, helping us get over the line to achieve a point, he will be important to keep the back door shut and hopefully help us turn those draws into wins.
In the last 5 matches between the sides, it’s the hosts who have the upper hand, winning 3 of the 5 matches, with 2 draws. The last game was an entertaining 2-2 draw back in November 2025. Our last win against our opponents was a 3-2 win back in August 2023 away from home.
