Livingston WFC 0-2 Partick Thistle WFC

Livingston bowed out of the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup in the 3rd round at home with a 2-0 defeat to visiting Partick Thistle.
There were shades of the last meeting between the two sides as Handley and Tweedie had the Jags 2-0 up before 10 minutes were played.
The Lionesses did well to find their shape and built some offence of their own in the first half, with makeshift wing-back Leah Daly twice picking out Seren McCulloch in promising positions towards the Partick goal.
Skipper Rachel Walkingshaw had to make her exit early after a knock, replaced in the first half by Jen Dodds.
The rain did not let up all afternoon, making for some tough playing conditions, but it was a motivated Livingston that came out in the second half against a tired-looking Partick.
Vivienne Strain and Kate Fraser both made the book after a tussle following a heavy challenge minutes before the referee was called into action again for a penalty claim when Emily Moran was downed in the box, but the official waved play on.
It was all Livingston in the latter stages, and both Strains would have big chances late on, with Justine Strain seeing an effort saved before Vivienne Strain missed out on converting from a corner.
A good second-half performance in the face of defeat, the Lionesses switch focus back towards SWPL 2 and an away clash with Boroughmuir Thistle in Edinburgh next week.
