We can confirm that West Ham United have activated their recall option on defender Junior Robinson.

The 21-year-old returns to the London Stadium having joined the Lions on loan in the Summer.

Men’s first-team manager David Martindale said: “I had dialogue with West Ham in early December, with a view to them looking to recall Junior due to his lack of playing time. I was keen to keep him for the rest of the season as I felt he would have played more in the second half of the campaign, but nothing is guaranteed.

“I think it’s only fair that we agree to let Junior return to West Ham to potentially get back out on loan somewhere else, and back playing every week as he is a young player with a lot of potential.”
