We’re delighted to announce the pre-contract signing of Ghanaian Emmanuel Danso from Stabæk following the expiry of his contract.

The 25-year-old midfielder will officially become David Martindale’s first signing of the January window when he joins on New Years Day, subject to international transfer clearance.

Danso started his footballing career at SC Accra, before securing a move to French giants Olympique Lyonnais in February 2019. He made 12 appearances for Lyon II before making the switch to Norwegian club Strømsgodset. He spent two seasons at the Marienlyst Stadion, making 43 appearances between the main team and their second team. He joined Stabæk for the 2025 season, making 24 appearances.

He joins the club on a three-and-a-half-year deal, keeping the latest recruit in West Lothian until June 2029, and will wear the number 37 shirt.
