Ben Williamson returns to Rangers.
Livingston FC can confirm that midfielder Ben Williamson has returned to parent club, Rangers FC.
Manager David Martindale said: “As a club, when you take a player on loan you have a duty of care to the player and the parent club. You are trusted to develop the player and send him back to his parent club a better player.
“In Ben’s case, I think he has been a little unfortunate in the first-half of the season with regards to game time albeit, he has started in some very big fixtures for us.
“Ben chapped the door and asked about his game time going forward and we both had a good discussion and both agreed if Ben could get himself out playing football at a decent level elsewhere, it would be a no brainer at this stage for his own development.
“I would have been happy to keep Ben for the remainder of the season as I know he would have got game time but I am also pragmatic enough to realise he could get more elsewhere. As a club, as I have stated above, we have a duty of care to the player and his parent club to develop the player and if playing football elsewhere gives Ben the game time he needs, I am more than happy for that to happen.”
All the very best for the future, Ben!
