Lars of the Rovers as Lokotsch heads for Raith
Striker Lars Lokotsch has today joined Championship leaders Raith Rovers on a short-term loan until the middle of January.
The German frontman has featured 5 times this season since joining from SV Rodinghausen in the summer, grabbing his first goal in Livi colours in the 5-1 Betfred Cup win away to Edinburgh City earlier this month with a powerful header.
The 24-year-old will hook up with former Livingston manager John McGlynn who has steered the Kirkcaldy side into the Championship this season and has enjoyed an emphatic start to the season with a 3-0 win at home to Arbroath followed up with a 5-2 win away to Queen of the South.
Those two wins and 8 goals see the Rovers sit top of the pile on goal difference ahead of Dunfermline and Hearts.
Head of Football Operations David Martindale said:
“I’m just delighted that we have managed to get Lars out playing football in a very competitive league with a club that is definitely on the rise.
“I know John and Paul and I’m really happy that Lars will be under their tutelage for the next 10 weeks or so.
“The game time will be invaluable to Lars in the short term and benefit Livingston FC in the long term – it’s a fantastic move for all.”
