Squad Update | Shane Blaney moves on loan to Sligo Rovers

Defender Shane Blaney has today joined League of Ireland Premier Division side Sligo Rovers on loan until 1st July 2026.

After joining the Lions from Motherwell in the Summer, injuries have hampered Shane’s playing time which means he’s only managed to feature 8 times in all competitions thus far.

An injury sustained in the first-half away to Hibs at Easter Road back in October has ruled Shane out since, but having come through his recovery and rehabilitation, he now joins the Bit O’Red ahead of their SSE Airtricity Premier Division opener with Derry City next month.
