Welcome Gavin Reilly
Livingston FC are delighted to announce the signing of striker Gavin Reilly on an 18-month contract.
Joining from Carlisle where he’s spent the last 6 months, Gavin is already a well-known face north of the border having played for Queen of the South, Hearts, Dunfermline and St Mirren. A move to Bristol Rovers in 2018 was followed by a loan spell at Cheltenham before the frontman joined Carlisle at the start of this season.
Manager David Martindale said: “Gavin is a player I’ve been trying to sign in most transfer windows since he moved away from St Mirren a few seasons ago. I nearly had him signed in 2018 but he opted to go down to Bristol Rovers and, at the time, it was a very good move for him.
“While at St Mirren, Gavin always impressed me and as most of you will remember, he was prolific the season St Mirren won the Scottish Championship. I really liked his style of play and he always caused us problems when he was playing against us. He caught my eye that campaign on a number of occasions.
“I’m delighted to get Gavin on a 18-month contract as I feel he will be a valuable player in the coming months – he is most definitely a player who will enhance the squad we already have here at the club.
‘It’s very important that we don’t just bring in players who can help with the short-term fixtures scheduling. We need to be adding quality which in turn will help us all over the coming months and beyond that.”
Gavin will wear the number 20 shirt for the rest of the season.
Welcome to Livingston, Gavin!
