Adding a bit of Sole to the squad!
Livingston FC is delighted to announce the pre-contract signing of midfielder Liam Sole from English side Maidstone United.
Liam has agreed an initial two-year deal, with the Lions having the option to take up a third year, and will join up with squad for pre-season in mid-June.
Having been on the books at Watford, MK Dons and Nottingham Forest, Liam joined Maidstone United from St Albans at the start of the 2023/24 season.
Maidstone’s season came to a disappointing end at the weekend, narrowly losing out 2-1 in the promotion play-off semi-final away to Worthing.
That aside, it’s been a fantastic campaign for Maidstone. As well as making the play-off semi-finals, they won the Kent Senior Cup and memorably became the lowest ranked side in the English football pyramid since 1978 to reach the last 16 of the FA Cup, by pulling off one of the biggest ever FA Cup shocks of all time as they beat Championship side Ipswich Town before bowing out to eventual semi-finalists Coventry City – with Liam starting on all 5 rounds of that journey.
Liam will wear the number 7 shirt for the 2024/25 campaign.
