Airdrie match preview
This Saturday, we will travel to the Albert bartlett Stadium to face Airdrie, for a 2nd vs 10th encounter. Both teams come into this game from different perspectives, Airdrie from a defeat and us with an impressive victory over the league leaders last weekend.
It was a brilliant Tete Yengi strike that secured all 3 points for the lions against Falkirk. We will now be looking for our fourth win in a row and we will be aiming to maintain our decent away form in the league. In our last five matches we have had three wins, two draws and lost 1.
Airdrieonians are coming into this game after a 1-0 away defeat to Dunfermline, with 5 losses in a row. They haven’t scored in their last 5 games so they will be looking to fix that and get scoring goals again.
In the last five meetings between the two sides, Livingston have had the upper hand by winning 5 out of the last 5 games. The last encounter saw a 2-1 win for us in September at home after a late Andrew Shinnie goal helped the lions to all 3 points.
We are currently ranked joint 2nd in away form, and we have scored 7 goals in our last 5 matches. Airdrie have picked up the least amount points at home in the league but will still pose a challenge tomorrow.
