Airdrie match preview
This Tuesday evening, we will be at home to Airdrieonians at the Home of the Set Arena in a 3rd vs 10th encounter. Both teams come into this game from losses, we are coming off a loss against Queen’s Park and Airdrie, who haven’t played since the end of December are coming off a loss against Hamilton. We are aiming to turn our form around and grab the 3 points at home.
From our last 5 league matches we have only won 2 out the 5, and now we look ahead to turn our form around and get back to winning ways. We are coming into this one after a 2-0 away defeat to Queen’s Park. However, we switch our attention back at home and want to continue our strong home form.
Airdrie will be coming into this game off the back of a 3-2 loss against Hamilton and 1 draw and 4 losses in their last 5 games. They have scored 4 in their last 5 matches and haven’t kept a clean sheet in those 5 matches.
The key men for us will likely be Cristian Montano who returned to the starting 11 after some time out through injury. He found himself playing in a more attacking role on the left hand side. Another key man will be new loan signing Robbie Fraser who injected a bit of pace an energy into the team during his second half substitute appearance against Queen’s Park.
In the last five meetings between the two sides, we have had the upper hand, winning all 5 games. The last encounter saw a 3-0 away win only 26 days. We haven’t lost to Airdrieonians in the last 14 meetings, winning all 14 matches and we will be hoping to make it 15 on Tuesday night.
