With one eye firmly on the future, manager Mark Burchill this morning confirmed the signing of two youth players to add to the squad.

Both 17 year olds, midfielder Darren Smith and goalkeeper Connor Quinn have impressed in training prompting their call-up on senior terms.

“Connor came in full time from the academy” said Burchill earlier.  “He’s a very good young keeper who will learn and progress from working closely with DJ on a day-to-day basis.

“Darren signed from Hamilton Academical, and he’s a young player who will join the ground staff and progress into the first team.

“He’s a technically very good footballer, and we are hoping with hard work he can play for the first team this year.”
