Arbroath match preview

This weekend, we are back at home as we face Arbroath at the Home of the Set Arena. Both teams are coming into this game from different perspectives. We are coming off a 0-0 draw, and the visitors are coming off a 2-0 loss. We will look to improve our current home form by getting a win this weekend.
We are coming off a 0-0 away draw against Dunfermline Athletic. Despite the hosts dominating the first half, we had our own chances in the second but struggled to take any of them. In the end, a draw seemed like a fair result. We will look to build on last weekend’s clean sheet and take it into Saturday’s game.
Arbroath is coming off a 2-0 away loss against Inverness Caledonian Thistle. The action came in the later stages of the first half when the hosts took the lead through MacLeod’s close-range shot. The hosts quickly extended their lead through Bavidge. Inverness did have the chance to make it 3 but McAdams saved Allan’s penalty kick. The visitors had a chance to pull one back as McKenna’s shot was saved; following a loose ball situation it was cleared. Our opponents have scored 3 in their last 5 matches and have conceded 9 goals. The visitors, who are only 3 points behind us, will be looking to level with us.
The key players to look out for this match will be Brooklyn Kabongolo, who will come up against his former club. He will be hoping to put in a strong performance against a team he knows well. Another one to look out for is Robbie Muirhead who created many chances last time out and will be looking to do the same against a team which lately seems to be leaking in a lot of goals. His creativity will be important to seek out space and find that perfect pass to get in behind a shaky backline.
In our last 3 games against the opponents, we have had the upper hand, winning 2 and losing 1. Our last time out was an Arbroath 1-0 win back in August 2026. Our last win against the visitors was a 4-0 win back in July 2021 during a friendly so we will be looking for a repeat of that dominant performance again tomorrow against what will be a tough opponent.
