Ayr United match preview
This Saturday, we will be home to Ayr United at the Home of the Set Fare Area in a 2nd vs 3rd encounter. Both teams come into this game off the back of wins in the last league games. We will be aiming to maintain our strong start to the season and close the gap to the top.
Midweek saw us travel to face Airdrieonians in our rescheduled game after the postponement, we came out 3-0 winners. This weekend we return to home league action where we have been in solid form with four wins and one draw in our last five matches. We hope to keep up our strong home form against what will be difficult opposition.
Ayr United are coming into this game after a 5-2 home win over Falkirk. In their last 5 league matches they have 4 wins and 1 loss. They have scored 11 goals in their last 5 games so will be looking to continue that goal scoring run.
One key man for us will be Stevie May, with 2 goals and an assist in the midweek game, so he will be looking to add more goals to his name this weekend. Tete Yengi will be another key player for us in this game with another assist and another impressive performance and will be looking for a similar this weekend.
In the last five meetings between the two sides, Livingston have had the upper hand winning 4 of the last 5 games between the sides. The last encounter saw a hard fought 2-1 away win for the Lions in the league in October. We will be looking for repeat of that that win at home this time.
