Club Captain Sponsor – Family & Friends of Steven Carrie.
We’re pleased to welcome along the family and friends of the late Steven Carrie who have joined us in hospitality today and have also sponsored club captain Nicky Devlin for the day.
Steven would have turned 35 yesterday so the family have chosen to spend today at one of his favourite places – here at the home of his beloved Lions.
Andrew Carrie, Steven’s Dad said: “Team Captain Nicky Devlin is sponsored today by the family of Steven Carrie, lifelong Livi Lion and former club photographer, who passed away last May.
“Steven‘s family thanks the Club for helping us to celebrate his 35th birthday, which would have been yesterday.”
Business & Commercial Manager Dave Black said: “It’s really nice to welcome the family and friends of Steven back along to the game again today and we thank them for sponsoring Nicky this afternoon.”
“We’ve kept in touch with Gwen (Steven’s wife) and Andrew (Steven’s Dad) since Steven passed away and I know they’ve taken great comfort in coming along to hospitality this afternoon to celebrate the weekend of Steven’s birthday.
“Steven is still sadly missed by all who knew him but I’m certain he’ll still be roaring the Lions on this afternoon, like every week!”
Captain Nicky Devlin said: “I would like to take the opportunity to thank Steven’s family for being my sponsor for the day in Steven’s memory.
“It’s great to see them all back at the stadium and hopefully we can give them a performance to be proud of! Steven is still very much missed by everyone at Livingston FC and I hope everyone has a great day.”
