Contract extension for Joel Nouble
Livingston FC is delighted to confirm that the club has triggered the one-year extension on Joel Nouble’s contract which will see the forward signed to the club until at least the end of the 2023/24 season.
The striker, who grabbed his 5th goal of the season at the weekend, joined from Aldershot Town in Summer 2021 before spending the first half of the 2021/22 season on loan at Arbroath.
Since returning to the club from Arbroath last January, Joel has become a focal point for the Lions, playing a key part in the push for a top 6 finish. An injury just before the World Cup break seen Joel miss out across January before returning to the starting team with a goal against Kilmarnock last month and further adding to that tally at the weekend.
Manager David Martindale said: “I’m delighted to get the year extension activated with Joel. He has been immense for us this season and he is a player who brings a lot to the team on and off the park.
“I genuinely think he has been one of the best offensive players in the league this season and brings far more to the team than just goals and his all round game this season has really kicked on. He gives me great options in the offensive areas as he can play a 7, 9 or 11 with no detrimental impact on his performance.
“Joel is a player we should all enjoy as much as we can as we are lucky to have him and it’s great knowing we have extended his contract to protect the club.
“He will play a huge part in the games going forward and hopefully help the club make a strong finish to the season.”
