Cove Rangers 0-5 Livingston
Livingston bounced back from their penalty woes with a resounding 5-0 thumping of Cove Rangers on Tuesday night in Aberdeen.
The Lions needed a response after a draw with Hamilton on Saturday, and duly delivered thanks to goals from Tom Parkes, Ayo Obileye, Bruce Anderson and a Stephen Kelly double.
Livi made two changes to the side, with Morgan Boyes and Mo Sangare replacing Parkes and Andrew Shinnie.
And it would be Parkes who would make the first impact, getting his head on to an Obileye nod back to open the scoring shortly before half time.
The second half was much more productive for the visitors, with Cove capitulating. Obileye turned from provider to scorer, heading home from a James Penrice cross after he received the ball from a short corner to double the Lions lead.
It could have been three just two minutes later, with Penrice finding Nouble in space 14 yards out. He slid the ball to Jason Holt, but his effort shaved the right post on the way out.
It would be three a mere two minutes after that effort, this time Bruce Anderson sending a looping header home from a Parkes cross.
Ten minutes from time and it turned into the Stephen Kelly show with two spectacular efforts to secure the points. Kurtis Guthrie laid the ball off for the number 10, who curled it into the far right corner from 25 yards to make it four, before doubling his own goal tally in stoppage time with a volley smashed against the post and into the net.
