Danny Wilson contract extension
We’re pleased to confirm that Danny Wilson’s time at the club has been extended until the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
Having initially arrived on a short-term deal in October, the defender will now remain with the Lions for the second half of the season too.
After making his debut from the bench in a 2-1 win away to Ayr United, Danny started the next game, another 2-1 win, this time at home to Raith Rovers – scoring the equaliser, having a second goal ruled out and then being harshly sent off in the latter stages before picking up an injury against former side Queen’s Park at the start of November.
The 33-year-old returned to the bench against Ayr United last week before coming on at the break at the weekend at Stark’s Park.
Manager David Martindale said: “Danny’s had a frustrating time so far at the club with the injury he picked up at the start of last month ruling him out until recent weeks, but it was good to see him back out on the pitch on Saturday and I’m pleased to have him back in contention as we head into the second half of the campaign.”
